Murphy Jensen: Coach Jensen is the Coach of the Washington Kastles in the World Team Tennis League leading them to the Team Championships in 2014 and 2015. He is a former French Open Doubles Champion playing with his brother Luke. Coach Jensen grew up in Michigan and played his college tennis at the University of Southern California. He is best known for the excitement and energy he brings to all tennis.

Kamau Murray: Coach Murray is the founder, President/CEO of XS tennis in Chicago. He is the Executive Director of XSTEF tennis. Coach Murray played his college tennis at Florida A & M University. He has coached Taylor Townsend and has recently become more famous coaching Sloane Stephens to her great success at the 2017 US Open. Coach Murray just led the opening XS Athletic Facility in Chicago.

Ken DeHart: Ken DeHart is a USPTA Master Professional as well as a USPTR certified pro. He has served as the USPTR Executive Director. Ken has presented to coaches at the Australian Open, at National Coaches Workshops, and previously at the IHSTCA workshop. Wilson Sports bring Ken’s presentation to us.

Kelcy McKenna: Coach McKenna is the University of Wisconsin Women’s Coach. Coach McKenna previously had coached at the University of New Mexico. Coach McKenna was an All-American player for Arizona State University during her college years.

Manny Velasco: Manny Velasco was a great former Illinois High School player from Springfield. Velasco finished in the top eight at state each of his four years. He went on to play for the University of Illinois and served as an assistant coach there from 1989 1991. He is currently the Head Tennis Professional at the Five Seasons Club in Northbrook. 

A panel of our coaching legends to answer questions specifically for young and newer coaches trying to build a program.We are excited to honor Tom Henderson with the Lifetime Achievement Award.  We look forward to more honors: Century Club, Longevity, Regional Coaches of the Year, Assistant Coach of the Year, Head Coach of the Year, and the IHSTCA Hall of Fame.

We expect to have 20 vendors again this year along with our breakfast and registration gifts.
